New Ross has always been a town on the move. From its days as a bustling port to the lively streets we know today, it’s a place built on hard work, connection, and looking out for one another. Irishtown Pharmacy grew out of that same spirit — serving locals, supporting families, and helping neighbours stay well.

How It All Began

Irishtown Pharmacy was founded by James O’Callaghan, our Superintendent Pharmacist, with a simple but powerful idea: a pharmacy should be a place where people feel comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared for.

James believed that great pharmacy care isn’t just about medicines — it’s about trust, consistency, and knowing your community. That belief still shapes everything we do today, from the way we greet customers to the care we take with every prescription.
